Zack Snyder’s Dark Knight was revealed last week, so Warner Bros decided to ride that buzz straight into the ground. Earlier today, they revealed the title and logo of their upcoming (2016 is upcoming!) Batman-Superman movie. The movie is going to be called Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and that sure is a title.

I’m often reminded of Dwight Schrute from the third season of the American Office. “Michael always says, ‘K-I-S-S, keep it simple, stupid.’ Great advice, hurts my feelings every time.” Good joke, and actually really good advice. Stop overcomplicating things. Just call the movie Batman vs. Superman and print that money.

No, no, no, we need to build a universe! How will people know the Justice League movie is coming in the year 2030 if the word Justice isn’t in the title?

This leaves the big question: what’s with the V? Was the ‘s’ in ‘vs.’ one letter too many? Does V just sound classier to film executives? Does Ben Affleck have V hookers on set?
