We’re deep into the warm days of summer and that means gin season is upon us and at its peak! At the recently renovated, newly opened Crow & The Pitcher just off Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, they have taken a tried and true cocktail and have added a creative twist. Co-owner and general manager Michael Franco has taken you back in time and back to the basics, offering the original recipe and very similar preparation originally discovered and created in India.
After tasting this nectar of the gin Gods, I now make a point to get my malaria fighting dose of straight quinine whenever I have the opportunity. You too should not only give The Crow & Tonic a try but also perhaps taste their creative menu with a rustic twist prepared by co-owner Chef Alex Capasso. Craig LaBan sang his praises just recently & awarded this gem 2 well deserved Bells!
