April 4th, 1975- Microsoft is founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen.

April 5th, 1994- Kurt Cobain dies in Seattle, the victim of a self inflicted gunshot according to police who find him 3 days later.

April 5th, 2002-Layne Staley, lead singer of Alice in Chains and Mad season, dies of a heroin overdose.
